Apply to Rochester
Applying to the University of Rochester is a sign that you're ready to take control — of your education and your future. Here's how it works:
The Application Process
Step 1.
Submit the Part 1 Application.
Step 2.
Complete the Common Application or the Universal College Application.
Step 3.
Submit the application fee ($60 for paper applications, $30 for online).
Step 4.
Submit the Application Supplement.
Step 5.
Send us your high school transcript showing at least 3 years of grades; your official SAT or ACT scores*; and a letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor.
Step 6.
Check your application status to make sure we've received everything.

* The University of Rochester considers the highest combined SAT/ACT score, even if they are from different test dates. Only your highest scores will be considered in our final admissions decision. Each time you submit scores, we will update your record with any new high scores.
We encourage you to submit your scores each time you take the SAT. Sending your scores each time helps us to consider you for all available degree programs, special programs, and scholarships.
